Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Assistant to join our dynamic franchise team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the company by managing case files, conducting research, and ensuring that all documentation is accurate and organized. This position requires strong administrative skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties



Assist attorneys with legal research and drafting of documents, including briefs, motions, and contracts. Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate case files and client records. Organize and manage case files using iManage software to ensure easy access to important documents. Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses to gather relevant information for cases. Proofread legal documents for accuracy and adherence to formatting standards. Manage project timelines and deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks. Maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical, ensuring that all documents are properly categorized. Provide clerical support including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing correspondence. Utilize LexisNexis for legal research and information retrieval as needed.

Skills



Strong proofreading skills with attention to detail in written communication. Proficiency in LexisNexis for conducting legal research. Excellent project management abilities to oversee multiple assignments simultaneously. Effective interviewing skills for gathering information from clients and witnesses. Familiarity with iManage or similar document management systems is preferred. Prior administrative experience within a legal setting is highly desirable. Exceptional organizational skills to maintain an orderly workflow in a busy office environment. Strong research capabilities to support case preparation efforts. Excellent writing skills for drafting clear and concise legal documents. Experience with legal drafting processes is advantageous. Proficient in data entry with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. Previous clerical experience that demonstrates strong phone etiquette and customer service skills. Pay: $42,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
