Responsibilities include but are not limited to:You will play an essential role as part of a team working on a particular transaction (sale, merger and acquisition (M&A) and financing) or business development efforts (pitches)Supporting the team in the preparation and presentation of marketing pitches to existing and potential clientsConducting thorough research on companies and industriesObtaining needed information from available client data and conducting appropriate financial analysisAssisting in the preparation of internal and external marketing materials (teaser, confidential information memorandum (CIM), management presentation, etc.)Preparing financial models to support analysis in proposals and transaction documentationIdentifying key strategic & financial buyers/investorsManaging the transaction\xe2\x80\x99s status reports and moreThe candidate will be required to work extended hours on an as needed basisExperiences and skills you\xe2\x80\x99ll use to solveThe successful candidate requires fluency in English, in addition to French as they will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or stakeholders during the course of their employment with PwC CanadaRelevant work experience in financial services \xe2\x80\x93 accounting firm, investment banking or commercial banking would be an assetUndergraduate degree in Accounting, Corporate Finance and/or CommerceCompletion or progression toward an accounting or finance designation (CPA, CBV, CFA, MSc or MBA) would be an assetProficiency in Microsoft Suite (emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint)Proficiency in Capital IQ as an assetComprehensive financial and accounting skills and solid understanding of cash flow, financial modelling (would be an asset) and valuation methodologies (would be an asset)A keen interest in M&A including but not limited to a basic knowledge of the standard M&A process and an understanding of key local investorsEager to participate in business development opportunities and initiativesA proactive and dedicated self-starter who is quick to learn and apply new concepts with a demonstrated ability to be creative and effective in issue resolutionAbility to take initiative to manage numerous projects simultaneously under time constraintsThis role doesn\xe2\x80\x99t support completion of the Canadian CPA designationWhy you\xe2\x80\x99ll love PwCWe\xe2\x80\x99re inspiring and empowering our people to change the world.
