Summary of Responsibilities



We are seeking a dynamic Corporate Events Planner to champion employee culture and experience


You'll be at the heart driving Kando creating moments through the planning and execution of the events that bring our team together and energize our workplace.


In this cross-functional role you will own high-impact internal events and provide essential support for dealer-facing events. To execute, you will collaborate with a range of stakeholders across all levels and business units.


By streamlining cultural events and initiatives, you'll play a key role in how we accelerate together, innovate boldly, and celebrate inclusively.

Key Duties and Responsibilities



Internal Event Planning & Execution

Plan, coordinate, and execute internal events (e.g. town halls, employee celebrations, and teambuilding activities) Collaborate with the Marketing & Brand Development team to create communications and promotional materials for internal events Manage event logistics including venue booking, catering, A/V setup, transportation, and accommodations Own relationship with Yamaha's Corporate Travel partner to secure overseas and large group travel arrangements. These include booking flights, accommodations, ground transportation, and itineraries for staff, ensuring seamless logistics and cost-effective solutions. Develop and maintain detailed event timelines, budgets, and run-of-show documents Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure seamless event delivery Coordinate volunteer teams and delegate responsibilities effectively Conduct post-event evaluations and gather feedback to improve future events

External Event Support

Assist business teams with planning and administration of various events, including but not limited to venue booking, catering, transportation and accommodations. Collaborate with the Marketing & Brand Development team to create and distribute communications and promotional materials for dealer-related events. Monitor and respond to dealer inquiries related to event registration and logistics.

Culture & Engagement

Design and implement initiatives that foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture Collaborate with leadership to align cultural programming with company values and goals Organize employee recognition programs, wellness activities, and team-building experiences Act as a culture ambassador, promoting engagement across the company. Curate engaging, meaningful content for use on Yamaha Motor Canada's LinkedIn channel and corporate website Careers page, as well as Yamaha's Global newsletter Revs+ to promote our initiatives, values and culture.

Administration & Reporting

Own and maintain a calendar of internal and external events, and ensure visibility across the organization. This will involve working closely with the business to ensure comprehensive dataset. Maintain databases of vendors, venues, and cultural resources Track and manage internal event-related expenses, ensuring alignment with budget Prepare reports on event outcomes, participation, and ROI Ensure compliance with health, safety, and accessibility standards




Education Requirements and/or Experience Requirements



Degree/Diploma:

Program of Study:

Hospitality, Administration, Communication, or related field

Years of Experience:

2+ years preferred
