We are recruiting for an experienced Manager, Corporate Development professional to join our team. This role will be based in our Corporate head office - Downtown Toronto. This is an on-site position.

Job Overview:




As a Manager, Corporate Development, you will be responsible for executing on strategic initiatives related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, partnerships, and other corporate development activities. This position will report directly to the Director, Corporate Development, is highly visible in the organization, works closely with multiple functional areas and has regular exposure to the Senior Leadership team. The team is instrumental to the growth of the organization and has been given the mandate to execute on a rapid national expansion strategy through partnerships with new dental clinics. The team also supports ad-hoc special projects, which in the past have included a private equity capital raise, building a company-wide forecast model, and creating presentations for the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities and Duties:



Implement corporate development strategies that align with the company's overall strategic plan and long-term goals Take ownership of full deal lifecycle once a potential opportunity has been identified by the Business Development team Lead the financial analysis and due diligence process on potential acquisition targets, including analyzing financial statements, assessing strategic fit and highlighting key risk areas for the Executives Distill large quantities of incomplete, messy data into clear and actionable insights and analyses Perform a detailed review of the Associate and Analyst work, ensuring quality, timeliness, accuracy and consistency Assist in managing external vendors, including Quality of Earnings providers and lawyers Assist in negotiating with dentists and their advisors on standard terms Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Finance, Operations, bankers, vendors, and accountants Monitor industry trends and market conditions to identify potential opportunities for the company Prepare and present investment recommendations to the Senior Leadership team Provide ongoing support to business units on strategic initiatives, including partnerships and divestitures Assist in the management and training of junior team members Review current processes and implement industry best practices to streamline acquisitions

Education, Credentials, Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or related field; MBA, CPA, CFA or other advanced degree preferred 5+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or related field
