Corporate Communications Specialist

Working directly with our other communications leaders and members of the executive team, you will play a significant role in the communications activities, which showcase the progress and achievements of E-Comm and our amazing staff. This is an exceptional opportunity to grow your career while driving change through a wide array of communications.

Key to this role is a deep knowledge of corporate communications best practices and a comfort for understanding and disseminating difficult information. You will think strategically to develop and leverage communications tools and platforms to increase stakeholder engagement, including overseeing and utilizing existing newsletter platforms, developing new reporting structures and maintaining a presence at various stakeholder presentations and events.

Your advanced writing and creative design skills will help ensure key company messages reach and resonate with target audiences.

What you\'ll need:

  • Superior written and presentation skills
  • Previous experience working in a corporate communications role is essential
  • Results driven mindset with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment, whilst delivering on multiple, concurrent initiatives
  • A creative flair for writing with the ability to pitch and run with new ideas
  • Comfortable in leading, executing and making recommendations
  • Completion of a degree or diploma in communications, public relations, journalism or a related discipline plus sound related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Note: After hours and on-call monitoring of social media accounts is required on a rotational basis.

Security Requirements:

As a condition of employment at E-Comm, the required Police Security Clearance applicable to the position must be acquired and maintained. This is a process carried out by our law enforcement partner agencies, facilitated by E-Comm. The minimum residency in Canada to qualify for this position, as established by our law enforcement partner agencies, is 3-5 years.

To qualify for this process, a candidate may be either a Canadian Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen. We regret any candidates under Student, Visitor, or Work Visas are not eligible for consideration.

Vaccination Policy:

E-Comm 911 has a vaccination policy that is currently suspended. However, should the policy be reinstated, it will be a requirement for all current and future employees.
