We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a Corporate Child Care Supervisor. The work location for this position is Burnaby, British Columbia, and is considered a fully on-site role
The Opportunity:
In this role you\xe2\x80\x99ll:
Responsible for planning and implementing the program curriculum and care in a manner that meets the daily needs of all children enrolled in the 3-5 and multi-age program.
Role Model Appropriate behavior, grace and courtesies with children, Parents, and fellow staff
Develop program plans that are in line with the center\xe2\x80\x99s philosophy.
To ensure all regulatory requirements are being always met within the Child Care Program by spending time in each program.
Promote an environment that celebrates the diversity of families, children and their individual learning and care needs.
Maintain all health and safety requirements.
Directly supervise and provide leadership and guidance to a team of Early Childhood Educators made up of part-time Staff, Casual Staff, and practicum students in the 3-5 and Multi-Age programs.
Observe children in their surroundings and assesses individual and group needs, complete child progress reports.
Actively support the RB Unreserved Commitment to Safety: to send everyone home, every day, the way they came to work, by taking personal responsibility for your safety and safety of your team, co-workers and customers.
This job will require you to:
To organize and facilitate children\xe2\x80\x99s gradual entry into the room from the Infant and Toddler program.
Oversee the gradual entry process of new families joining the 3-5/Multi-Age programs.
Occasionally organize meetings with classroom teachers related to our philosophy and curriculum.
Facilitate communications with families as required.
Attend/Lead parent conferences.
Provide support and resources for families on a variety of topics.
Work closely with the Director to ensure overall program consistency, philosophy, and commitment to inclusive environment throughout the childcare programs.
Build positive working relationships with parents, the community, and local agencies
Handle all emergency situations and reports any minor or serious incidents according to program policies and Child Care Regulations to the Director, Corporate Child Care.
Oversee the day-to-day movement of children between classrooms and program levels, in collaboration with the Director, Child Care.
Maintain highly confidential information such as child files, childcare plans, and other sensitive documentation.
Assist in all aspects of the Child Care Program as require by the Director, Corporate Child Care.
Assist in overseeing all aspects of the childcare when the Director is off site.
Ensure satisfactory completion of administrative tasks including, but not limited to:
Monitoring attendance of children
Sign in/out daily logs
Creating rotation charts for planning
Updating the childcare web site as required
