Corporate Accountant

Hybrid | 4 days per week in office
Salary Range: $65-70K + benefits, vacation and RRSP
Description
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Corporate Accountant to join their Finance team in Richmond, BC. In this role, you will manage day-to-day accounting operations, support consolidation activities, and assist with quarterly and annual financial reporting. You'll play a key part in the financial integrity of the organization while driving improvements in accounting systems and processes.
What You Will Be Doing:
Manage the full cycle of fixed asset transactions, including additions, transfers, disposals, and depreciation analysis.
Prepare journal entries, perform general ledger (GL) reconciliations, and generate financial reports in a timely manner.
Handle intercompany loans, investments, and cost reimbursements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Prepare working papers for Financial Statements and Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A), supporting accurate and timely quarter-end close.
Assist in projects aimed at enhancing accounting systems and processes to streamline operations and increase efficiency.
What You Must Have:
A degree in Accounting or a related field.
A minimum of 3+ years of experience in corporate accounting or a similar role.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to identify problems and propose effective solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
