Job Description


The Corporate Accountant, reporting to the Director of Accounting & Finance, will serve as a key contributor to the financial health and operational success of the organization. This role focuses on delivering accurate and timely financial support and reporting for corporate entities, ensuring reliability and efficiency in all accounting processes. Core responsibilities include the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Standards (IFRS and ASPE), internal audit requirements, client accounting services, and internal review standards.Manage the complete accounting cycle for all corporate entities.Handle cash management for corporate entities, including cash flow analysis.Prepare internal and external partner reporting, including support for GL balances as required.Conduct monthly and quarterly reviews of the Shareholder's Loan.Prepare compliance reporting to lenders, government (e.g., T5018), and partners on a monthly and quarterly basis.Reconcile intercompany accounts monthly for corporate and project entities.Collaborate with internal operations, sales transaction teams, external auditors, and financial institutions.Develop and maintain PP&A schedules and corporate leasing agreements.Prepare bank reconciliations and HST filings (monthly, quarterly, annually).Review invoice processing and accounts payable aging for all corporate entities.Handle monthly fee billings, related entity chargebacks, and collections.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class otherwise protected under applicable human rights legislation.
