Overview


We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Duties



Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diamond drilling equipment (surface and/or underground) Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults on drill rigs and support equipment Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance to minimize downtime Repair and service diesel engines, compressors, pumps, and hydraulic systems Inspect drill components including rods, bits, wireline systems, and hoists Maintain accurate maintenance and service records Ensure all work complies with site safety procedures, regulations, and manufacturer specifications Collaborate with drill crews to optimize equipment performance and productivity Manage tools, spare parts, and inventory in workshop or field environments Assist with equipment mobilization and demobilization as required Maintain clean and safe work areas at all times Participate in safety meetings and hazard assessments Servicing light duty vehicles may be required

Experience



Minimum

3-5 years' experience

as a mechanic supporting diamond drilling operations Proven experience maintaining and repairing

surface and/or underground diamond drill rigs

Strong working knowledge of

hydraulic systems, diesel engines, compressors, and pumps

Hands-on experience with

wireline systems, drill rods, bits, and hoisting equipment

Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic faults in field conditions Experience performing

preventative maintenance programs

to reduce equipment downtime Familiarity with common drill brands Experience working in

remote exploration or mine site environments

Solid understanding of

workplace safety standards and procedures

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Pay: From $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 70 per week
