Core Protocol Developer - Leading DeFi Innovator

Location:

Remote - Candidates must be located in an American timezone (this includes North and South America)

Compensation:

$120K - $200K

As a

Core Protocol Developer

, you will serve our community and decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), working collaboratively across the full stack. This is a role for a highly motivated, versatile software development specialist with deep expertise in DeFi and smart contract development.

What You'll Be Building:

Next-Generation DeFi Primitives:

Creating innovative products like

Leverage Tokens

(ERC-20 assets bundling complex actions) and automated strategy

Vaults

for efficient capital management.

Protocol Mechanism:

Implementing and maintaining core staking and governance features that drive long-term protocol health.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement core

Solidity smart contracts

for the DeFi protocol. Develop and maintain data,

backend

(Node.js, Go, or similar), and

frontend

(React.js) services supporting the protocol's functionality. Collaborate with core contributors and community members to define and prioritize protocol features and improvements. Write comprehensive documentation for smart contracts, services, data queries, and integrations. Assist the community in creating

on-chain payloads

for governance proposals. Conduct thorough

testing and auditing

to ensure the security and reliability of the protocol. Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in DeFi and blockchain technology. Engage actively with the community on platforms like Discord, Discourse, and Github.

Requirements

We are seeking contributors who embody

Deep understanding of DeFi

concepts, protocols (e.g., Uniswap, Compound, Aave), and the broader ecosystem. Professional experience with

backend development

using technologies like

Node.js, Go, or similar.

Professional experience with

frontend development

using

React.js.

Familiarity with

Solidity

and interacting with on-chain protocols. Experience with blockchain development tools such as

Foundry, OpenZeppelin, etc.

Experience with blockchain data tools like

The Graph, Dune, etc.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about complex systems. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a distributed team.

Passion for DeFi

and commitment to building transparent, reliable, and user-friendly solutions. Experience working with small, senior-heavy teams in a startup-like environment. Candidates

must be located in a North American timezone

for optimal team collaboration.
