Job Description
Geominex Consultants Inc. is a Canadian mining exploration company based in British Columbia, working on several projects across Canada. Our operations are expanding in 2026, and we are hiring Core Cutter to join our field team. Join us on a 3-6 month contract, with a chance to stay longer!
Geominex Provides a multiplicity of services to companies operating in mineral exploration & development. We have a strong talent base with a wealth of expertise in technical report writing (43-101), resource estimates, seasoned field experience, and specialize in domestic and international remote access project locations.
Key Responsibilities
-Responsible for cutting drill core samples of varying sizes and lengths-Ensuring core samples are properly labelled and organized to ensure trackability-Ensure proper handling of drill core and samples-Able to work independently-Maintain an organized and clean work space-Experience would be beneficial but not mandatory-Be able to adhere to safety guidelines and procedures. Using required PPE when cutting and handling core.Candidate must have
-A valid class 5 drivers' licence and a clean driver's abstract is a condition of employment-Be able to pass a fit test for respiratory mask, PPE-Have a valid first aid certificate and willing to take other safety training as required-Be able to lift 25 kilograms-Working on rotational schedule of 2-3 weeks on and approximately 10 days to 2 weeks off.Geominex has a drug and alcohol policy that states 'the Employer and its clients' project sites are drug and alcohol free. Failure to comply with this policy in any way could result in the immediate termination of employment'. It is important to note that some clients also require random drug and alcohol testing, and/or testing in the event of a health and safety accident or incident.
Employees can fly in and out in provinces in Canada.
