Job Level NV-09

As an English copywriter - Marketing Advisor, you will produce innovative marketing and communication materials to promote our insurance products and services to existing and potential clients, keeping in mind the commercial positioning of the Desjardins Group. You must focus on the needs of our members and clients, and on the Desjardins networks. You will help promote the brand, the Group and play a leadership role with the various stakeholders involved in the development and implementation of complex strategic projects. These projects require in-depth knowledge and experience in the areas of marketing and communications.

You will make clear conceptual and operational recommendations on the development and implementation of complex projects. You will interact with many stakeholders from various disciplines; the ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships is therefore essential. You will act as a consultant for content in your field and as a resource person and mentor for various authorities.

You will be the English copywriter for projects and assignments to support delivery of key marketing priorities.

Main responsibilities

Collaborate, inform and support your team and partners in the positioning, planning, creation, implementation and monitoring of various projects and strategic mandates under your responsibility

Propose innovative ideas and oversee the production of various writing projects: advertisements, videos, websites, newsletters, promotional campaigns, mass circulation print materials, etc.

Identify any issue, challenge, need and potential problem to be resolved in the drafting and revision of strategic documents that will have a significant effect on the Desjardins brand image to ensure that results meet expectations

Use terminology consistent with best practices in the financial services industry, also taking into account Desjardins best practices

Help the team deliver high quality projects to the English-speaking market and ensure that documents reflect the voice and tone of the Desjardins brand

Develop focused editorial content and implement strategies to leverage content across earned, owned and paid channels while measuring impact

Manage multiple content/editorial projects in various stages of development simultaneously

Initiate and contribute to the annual editorial calendar building process, including researching key themes, events, and gathering stakeholder input

Support team efficiency and collaboration by helping review and update content processes regularly and suggesting opportunities for improvement

Effectively manage copy deliverables and timelines, assigning work and managing freelance writers, reviewing content, providing feedback, managing invoicing, tracking performance, and maintaining positive working relationships

Stay up-to-date on content marketing best practices and technology and share best practices with the team.

Other working conditions

Work place: Position located in Mississauga, Aurora, Levis, or Montreal, depending on the applicant selected. The work arrangement for the position is hybrid work #LI-Hybrid

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field

A minimum of four years of relevant experience as a copywriter or content marketing writer, preferably in Financial or Insurance Services industry

Experience working in a content management system CMS
