SCOPE



Reporting to the Senior Director, Strategy and Transformation, Concordia Lifelong Learning (Office of the Associate Vice-President Professional Education and Valorisation du francais [AVPPEF]), the incumbent contributes to the sustainable growth and strategic positioning of the Lifelong Learning (LLL) unit by aligning business development and transformation efforts to increase both the number and net value of customized training projects, while cultivating strong, long-term partnerships. They coordinate operational and cross-functional activities to optimize LLL's efficiency and capacity, and support prospecting, external representation, and relationship management with partners and clients to scale impact, drive revenue growth, and expand the unit's clientele and network. The incumbent collaborates closely with internal stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and to enhance the overall partner and client experience. They also contribute to the development of new tools, frameworks, and policies that improve institutional effectiveness and external engagement.





PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES



o Support the development and delivery of high-quality customized training solutions by coordinating the preparation of proposals, presentations, and service agreements in collaboration with internal teams. Actively contributes to partner engagement by participating in meetings and negotiations with and without the collaboration of the senior directors according to established guidelines.


o Provide feedback and after-sales support; suggest improvements based on client input.


o Build and maintain high-value relationships with partners by actively engaging in communications and collaborative activities, moving beyond prepared materials toward more direct interactions. Represent the unit at selected external events, contributing to networking and follow-up activities with guidance.


o Coordinate the design and execution of strategic transformation projects -- business development, human, organizational, digital or service-related across their full lifecycle. This includes project planning, implementation, performance monitoring, outcome evaluation, and end-user training. The incumbent also coordinates change management activities, including communications, training, and user adoption strategies, to support successful and sustainable implementation.


o Support unit members during organizational changes and transitions, in consultation with senior directors: Collaborate effectively with peers and provides occasional guidance or support; Assist in onboarding and training new team members on tools, processes, and best practices relevant to the unit's activities; Support the coordination of cross-functional teamwork and contributes to fostering collaboration among stakeholders; May help identify and resolve minor conflicts within project teams, escalating complex issues to senior management as needed.


o Apply structured project management methodologies to ensure timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.


o Develop comprehensive project documentation including project charters, work plans, KPIs, and performance dashboards while acting as the strategic liaison between senior leadership, LLL teams, and other Concordia's internal units involved in projects.


o Support governance processes and maintain regular reporting to both internal and external stakeholders.


o Implement effective change management approaches and communication strategies to foster team buy-in and ensure effective organizational transitions.


o Act as a key resource for change initiatives by facilitating cross-functional collaboration, knowledge transfer, and stakeholder engagement.


o Assist in drafting project documentation, meeting notes, and work tools to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.


o Play a key role in documenting, reviewing, and continuously improving internal processes in collaboration with relevant teams. Identifies opportunities for process enhancements, develops collaboration frameworks, and coordinate the implementation of solutions with key units. Contributes to the ongoing refinement of practices and tools supporting institutional development.


o Collaborate on needs assessments, participate in market research and contribute to business intelligence. Promote LLL's vision, offerings, and customized services that address client objectives.


o Support the Senior Director in preparing annual reports, evaluations, and strategic documents. Prepare high-level briefings, strategy decks, and reports for executive leadership.


o Track and communicate the institutional impact of transformation and partnership activities.


o Produce progress reports, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and return on investment (ROI), and recommend continuous improvements.


o Perform other tasks in support of the unit.



QUALIFICATIONS



o Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a field related to the primary responsibilities and four to seven years of related experience.


o Experience working in a university setting is highly desirable.


o Very good knowledge (Level 5) of spoken and written English and good knowledge (Level 4) of spoken and written French.


o Proven experience in business development within university continuing education.


o Experience in project coordination and client relationship management.


o Proven experience in project management is an asset.


o Highly creative, with the ability to identify target audiences and tailor offerings accordingly.


o Demonstrated ability to prepare professional reports.


o Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and initiative.


o Strong time management, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.


o Knowledge of the education sector and customized training markets.


o Strong teamwork and leadership capabilities.


o Availability to work extended hours throughout the year, as needed.


o Previous leadership experience in a front-line environment is an asset.


o Interest in organizational transformation processes is desirable.


o Experience working at Concordia University is an asset.


o Cultural sensitivity is an asset.


o Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking is an asset.


o Experience in corporate relations and communications is an asset.
