Make a Meaningful Impact on the Future of Indigenous Education
Yukon University is seeking a thoughtful, well-organized, and relationship-driven Rideau Hall Coordinator to support a Yukon-wide initiative focused on increasing the number of Indigenous K-12 teachers across the territory.
Funded by the Rideau Hall Foundation, this term role supports Indigenous student success in YukonU's Bachelor of Education programs - both the Yukon Native Teacher Education Program (YNTEP) and the After-Degree program. You'll work closely with partners at the Yukon First Nation School Board (FNSB) and the Yukon First Nation Education Directorate (YFNED) to ensure that Indigenous learners are supported every step of the way.
About the Role
This is a hands-on coordination role that blends community engagement, student support, and project management. You'll be responsible for organizing and delivering key activities funded through the Rideau Hall initiative - including student outreach, rural practicums, and community-based courses - all with the goal of welcoming more Indigenous students into the teaching profession.
