Reporting to the
Program Manager
, the Project Coordinator will provide coordination and administrative support to utility construction projects. This role plays a key part in ensuring project documentation, tracking, and communication are effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle.
What You'll Do Here:
Support the Project Manager with on-site construction activities and overall project coordination
Prepare, organize, and maintain complete and accurate project documentation throughout the project lifecycle
Set up project folders, templates, and required documentation during project start-up
Maintain and manage project folders and records on the shared server and document control systems
Track, log, and manage project documentation, including RFIs, reports, and correspondence
Ensure drawing and report folders are current and distribute updates as required
Assist with the preparation, tracking, and administration of change notices and subsequent change orders
Schedule, attend, and document minutes for project meetings and conference calls
Generate, log, and track Requests for Information (RFIs) and follow up as required
Prepare Operations and Maintenance (O&M) manuals and Quality Assurance documentation for internal review and client submission
Track and report site hours worked by employees in accordance with EPSCA and project-specific reporting requirements
Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, standards, and safe work practices
What You Bring to the Team:
Technical college diploma, engineering degree, or a combination of technical training and relevant industry experience
Three or more years of experience in the civil or electrical utility sector is preferred
Solid understanding of estimating, project forecasting, and change management principles
Experience with project planning, scheduling, and resource balancing across projects of varying size and complexity
Proven ability to resolve project issues with minimal supervision
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to foster cooperation across departments and teams
Comfortable working in both office and field or site environments
Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and MS Project Experience with Hard Dollar and SAP is considered an asset
Highly self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently, accurately, and effectively under pressure
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Salary: The expected salary for this position is $50,000 - 70,000 Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience and unique skills.
