Position overview

The Coordinator, Professional Development & Sponsorship supports the development and delivery of high-quality learning experiences and sponsorship initiatives at CPHR Alberta. Working closely with the Specialist, Stakeholder Engagement and reporting to the Director, Marketing & Stakeholder Engagement, this role ensures the smooth execution of professional development programs and the fulfillment of sponsorship commitments. The coordinator plays a key role in enhancing member value, building sponsor relationships, and supporting the organization's strategic goals.

What you will do

Relying on previous experience, you will lead the development of strategic sponsorship and partnership initiatives.

Proactively seek opportunities to engage stakeholders in sponsorship and strategic partnerships that enhance member value and support organizational goals.

In close collaboration with colleagues and partners, ensure every workshop, online seminar, and professional development session runs like clockwork-delivering seamless, high-impact learning experiences for our members. This includes:

o Organizing virtual and in-person sessions

o Tracking attendance, feedback, and certification process

o Creating or compiling learning materials like handouts, workbooks, and presentation slides

Partner with marketing & communications strategists to ensure consistent, personalized messaging across all stakeholder touchpoints.

Bring the CPHR Alberta brand to life at events-connecting with members, partners, and the public to grow our community and amplify our impact.

Champion teamwork and shared success by actively supporting colleagues and nurturing a positive, professional, and empowering team culture.

What you bring to the role

Previous experience in fund development and sponsorship, ideally 2-4 years at a Coordinator level.

Sharp administrative skills, clear communication, and multitasking mastery - ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.

Creativity and agility to solving complex problems-turning challenges into opportunities for growth and innovation.

Skill in cultivating meaningful connections with internal teams and external partners to drive shared success and strategic outcomes.

Proficient in budgeting and financial tracking to support efficient planning.

Skill in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines without compromising quality or attention to detail.

Occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary to support events. Some travel may also be required for event participation or stakeholder meetings.

Our team works a 37.5-hour condensed week, with flexible start and end times each day. We collaborate in the office on Wednesdays, work remotely the remaining weekdays, and enjoy Friday afternoons off.

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
