What is the opportunity:
The Outreach Coordinator will play a key role in engaging employers, educational institutions, and community organizations to promote career resources and labour market information. This position focuses on planning and delivering regional workshops, building relationships with small and medium-sized companies, and supporting initiatives that advance workforce diversity and inclusion. Additionally, the Outreach Coordinator will coordinate and support Careers in Energy's Virtual Reality (VR) Program with high schools across Canada.
What will you do:
Coordinate and attend regional workshops, including managing all logistics (venue, travel, materials, registration). Develop and promote workshop content that aligns with Careers in Energy objectives.
Coordinate and support the Careers in Energy Virtual Reality (VR) Program with high schools across Canada. Manage scheduling, logistics, and communication with schools and partners to ensure successful delivery of VR experiences.
Support the creation and dissemination of career tools and LMI resources to promote CIE. Assist in marketing and outreach campaigns to increase awareness of Careers in Energy programs.
Track engagement activities and provide reports on outreach outcomes.
Gather feedback from stakeholders to inform programming improvements.
Will participate in events, conferences, tradeshows, workshops and other business activities, as required.
Acts as a backup to the Administrations to respond to phone, website or email inquiries and directs them to team members.
Supports the development of proposal budgets, including the supporting contract management processes such as RFI, RFP, and contract initiation forms.

What you need to succeed:
Post-secondary education in Business Administration or related field is preferred
5+ years in event planning, outreach or stakeholder engagement
Familiarity with workforce development, labour market trends, or the energy sector
Experience with equity-deserving groups is preferred
Understanding of outreach and engagement strategies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate in both official languages (English and French) is preferred
Strong organizational skills and project management skills
Knowledge of event logistics and coordination best practices
Familiarity with virtual reality technology and its application in education is an asset
Basic knowledge of labour market information and employer resources
Relationship building and networking abilities
Strong public speaking and presentation skills
