Job Summary

We are currently seeking a fulltime Coordinator of Volunteer Services. The Coordinator of Volunteer Services is responsible for overall recruitment and coordination of volunteers and reports to the Executive Director of Community Meals on Wheels Saint John Inc.

Responsibilities

Recruits/screens volunteer applicants for Meals on Wheels services Ensures Volunteers receive appropriate training to effectively/safely deliver independently Prepare/distribute/revise as needed volunteer schedules to ensure daily coverage for all Routes Maintains the monthly Hot Meal/Frozen meal Client Tallies for billing purposes-Adding/Cancelling Clients as requested Liaises with community partners in relation to volunteer services Carries out the duties of Executive Director in his/her absence as required within scheduled work hours. In absence of Executive Director, directs concerns requiring guidance/input to the Board of Directors. Carries out any other duties required in the general operation of Meals on Wheels

Requirements

Valid class 5 driver's license, with clean driving abstract mandatory, personal vehicle considered an asset. Criminal Background check & Social Development will be required Ability to work independently, using good judgement with minimal supervision Strong verbal & written communication skills Social Media experience, ability to navigate and create content for our accounts (Facebook, Instagram etc..) Recruiting experience, attract and create volunteers Commitment to volunteerism: demonstrated experience working with/as a volunteer considered an asset Motivated and positive attitude

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.5 per week
