Position Summary

:


The coordinator is responsible for the management of the day-to-day frontline administrative and operational functions and support of Parking Services in conjunction with the Director of Business Development. The coordinator ensures Parking Services provides a high quality, efficient, customer-focused service for the hospital and community. The coordinator assists in implementing new initiatives, and ensuring best practices through on-going education, training and check-ins.



Position Responsibilities



Manages continuously the day to day, front line function of Parking Services to ensure an efficient and effective program Continually ensures parking systems and equipment are operationally and optimal, continually troubleshoots issues Continually manages records and reports to ensure information is accurate and up to date, performs audits Required to travel to and work at all three sites on a regular basis Provides continuous supervision and reinforces key expectations and duties of Parking Services staff and our third-party parking accounts Required to travel to and work at all three sites on a regular basis Provides continuous guidance and direction, leads and communicate daily workloads to Parking Services staff to ensure staff are on task Provides continually ongoing education and assessment of need for training to ensure Parking Services staff are up to date on current policies and procedures Addresses' performance concerns (in conjunction with Director Business Development), provide in the moment feedback and coaching Documents and escalates performance issues as required with support from Business Development (BD) Director and HR Manage continuous department scheduling and payroll, address any staffing challenges Participate in hiring process, orientation and training, and performance management of Parking Services staff Provides frequent input in the overall planning and development of Parking Services Provides continuous leadership in the development and implementation of strategies to improve parking processes and results Frequently develops new strategies and processes to ensure best practices in Parking Services Participate in committees, if required Disseminates direction and objective from Director, BD Manages continuous concerns raised by partnerships or customers, provide support, advice and solution-based feedback and troubleshoot to problem solve while adhering to quality standards Provides frequent assistance to other internal departments Provides continuous feedback and updates to BD Director in regard to the overall performance of Parking Services, escalate any departmental concerns as required Provides input in RFPs and other organizational projects as assigned Continually builds engagement and professionalism within Parking Services

Position Requirements:



Post-Secondary Degree Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a hospital setting Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an informal leadership role in Parking Services or a related field Comfort in interpreting standards for implementation through policies and best practice Experience in providing coaching and feedback to team members Ability to partner with other departments in a professional manner to provide quality results for all involved Must be able to effectively communicate both verbal and written work instructions and expectations of staff and monitor quality of work Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to react, coordinate and handle stressful situations Excellent problem solving, decision-making, planning and evaluation skills Participatory leadership, team building and organizational skills Ability to foster collaboration in an interdisciplinary team environment Demonstrated ability to balance multiple and completing priorities daily
