  • Directly interact and communicate with customers and collaborate with Sales, Legal, Transportation Distribution & Logistics, Product Management, Customs, and Credit along with Nutrien\'s plants to manage order to cash activity and international requirements.
  • Execute customer sales agreements and prepare documentation according to terms and conditions and agreed Incoterms.
  • Educate brokers, agents, and forwarders on customer import/export requirements to facilitate shipping documentation and prompt customs clearance.
  • Review international letters of credit and communicate with credit, bank, and customers to ensure accurate and timely document presentation, payment remittance, and discharge operations.
  • Collaborate between customers, accounts payable, and credit to prepare proforma invoices, receive credit approvals, and confirm appropriate cash application.
  • Learn and understand our Nitrogen, Phosphate, and Potassium nutrients as well as specialty lines of products in our Agricultural, Industrial, and Feed Divisions.
  • Act as a resource for Sales in communicating with customers.
  • Accurately satisfy customer inquiries regarding order status, product specifications, shipping documents, product safety, etc.
  • Collaborate between customers, Accounts Payable, and Credit to prepare proforma invoices, receive credit approvals, and confirm appropriate cash application.
  • Work with Sales, Warehousing, and Finance to ensure the proper closing out of fiscal periods.
  • Provide back-up support for other positions on the team as required.
What you will bring:
  • Ideal candidate should have a bachelor\'s degree in business, International, Logistics or related four-year degree.
  • Preferred experience or background in an Agricultural, Commodities or Industrial Chemicals is beneficial but not required.
  • 2-5 years business experience.
  • Strong problem resolution and analytical skills along with being able to exercise independent decision making within established guidelines.
  • Excellent verbal, written, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and ability to interact with all levels of employees and management.
  • Understand International Trade Compliance requirements, ICC UCP 600 standards, and Incoterms.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize deliverables. High attention to detail and proven ability to work under pressure.
  • Experienced in a variety of software programs and applications with an aptitude to learn new systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable in a team environment.
  • Understand customer service processes and procedures and how transactions flow through and report in the various systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is an asset.
  • Must be highly motivated.
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences and awareness.
  • Capacity to identify pain points in processes / systems and recommend and implement possible solutions.
