responsible for the development and ongoing implementation of a project supporting immigrant adults, seniors and their families. Reporting to the Supervisor and the Manager, Community Integration Services, this position will be responsible for:
Coordinating services & support offered to clients by:
Reviewing existing internal resources, reports and recommendations to continue developing and planning the program
Working with an Advisory Committee
Providing one-on-one navigational support to immigrant adults, seniors and their families to connect them to resources and services
Conducting needs assessments and referrals to appropriate services
Developing and facilitating orientation sessions on how to prepare for retirement
Developing and organizing workshops and activities in partnership with other programs and services
Developing and providing cultural competency training sessions for service providers
Developing and piloting culturally appropriate, active living initiatives in partnership with service providers
Promoting Immigrants Aging Well in Canada program to seniors, other service providers, etc.
Creating and updating map of external resources, services and organizations
Implementing program evaluation procedures
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following:
Education:
Bachelors Degree or
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted
Experience:
2 years experience in a similar position
Experience working with seniors
Experience working in a cross-cultural environment; experience delivering direct service to immigrants preferred
Experience in group facilitation
Experience in navigational support
Experience developing, implementing and evaluating programs or projects
Experience with networking and outreach
Experience with cultural competency an asset
Knowledge:
Knowledge of local activities, programs, and community organizations that serve the immigrant population, specifically immigrant seniors
Skills:
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong time management and organization skills
Proficient with MS Office applications
Additional languages an asset

Hybrid work environment: work location will be determined by operational requirements, prioritizing ISANS mission and clients to determine the right balance of in-person and virtual work.
