Job Description

The Association Heritage New Brunswick is seeking an experienced and dynamic Coordinator. This position will provide integral administrative support to the Executive Director and the Board of Directors in the daily operations of the association. AHNB is a membership organization that represents, supports, and promotes New Brunswick's museums, heritage industries, and community heritage organizations through education, public awareness, advocacy, and professional development.

The AHNB Coordinator is responsible for office operations, including records management, communications and correspondence, maintaining social media channels, updating the website, and performing basic accounting.

This position will be full-time, working 37.5 hours, or the equivalent of 5 days per week. The Coordinator will be based at the AHNB office, located at 503 Queen Street in Fredericton. Work-from-home flexibility is possible on a case-by-case basis.

AHNB Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities



Provide administrative assistance to the Executive Director and Board of Directors, reporting on a regular basis to the Executive Director Manage office communications, including email and telephone queries, social media and website maintenance Daily accounting and assisting with annual budget and grant application preparation Maintain office records and filing, including processing association memberships Provide technical support to subscribers for Collective Access (collections management software, training provided)

Requirements



Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field or min. 3 year's experience Good communication skills, written and verbal, particularly with a proficiency in French Knowledge of office procedures Relevant computer skills and experience, including Microsoft and/or Google suite products, social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram), and website maintenance (Wordpress) Strong organizational and time management skills Self-directed problem-solver able to work with an Executive Director and Board of Directors with minimal day-to-day supervision General understanding of a non-profit organization Experience in museums or related field an asset
