Job Description

We have grown to become a major general contractor and design-builder, with a progressive and multi-disciplined group of companies delivering specialized paving, concrete, milling, reclaiming, and recycling services, as well as multi-span bridge construction and innovative concrete structure solutions to clients throughout British Columbia.
BA Blacktop Ltd. is currently seeking an experienced individual to join our Shop & Equipment team as a Coordinator, Equipment. This intermediate-level role will include coordination of tasks in our shop & equipment department, but at the same time being hands-on in performing preparation request forms and order leasing for vehicles, besides spare parts purchase tasks for the shop.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Works in relation with the Equipment manager, the shop Foreman and the Equipment Clerk to coordinate the following:

  • VEHICLES:
    • Preparing renewal plan
    • Preparing Lease/Order request for vehicles
    • Coordinating and keeping track of the assignation of company fuel card
    • Coordinating with external shops vehicles maintenance
    • Coordinating with Shop Foreman for inhouse resources for vehicles maintenance
    • Coordination with equipment clerk for ICBC claims
    • Invoices approval for maintenance requests
    • Operates a wide variety of vehicles
  • SHOP
    • Responsible for the annual purchase of service parts/fluids
    • Responsible for purchase and inventory keeping of spare parts and shop supplies.
    • Implementing and following the company’s safety manual and rules
    • Completing other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Heavy duty equipment and vehicle mechanical / electric knowledge,
  • Strong communication skills with clients and the public.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Computer skills: MS Office
  • Ability to read and interpret financial data including balance sheets
  • Legally eligible to work for any employer in Canada
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
