We are looking for a Communities and Social Performance Coordinator with exceptional interpersonal and communications skills to support and carry out administrative activities, lead the organization of events, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to contribute to our Aluminium division's CSP team in Northwest, British Columbia. You will be part of a cross-disciplinary group of colleagues throughout the province in building collaborative and lasting relationships with internal and external partners.

Reporting to the Manager, Communities & Social Performance, and primarily working a Monday to Friday schedule, you will be:

Upholding Rio Tinto's Health, Safety, and Environmental standards while actively fostering a culture of care, courage, and curiosity. Coordinating employee and community engagement initiatives, including planning and executing events--which may occur outside of regular office hours or on holidays. Performing administrative tasks for the Communities & Social Performance team and Rio Tinto Aluminum Canada Fund, encompassing vendor communication, procurement, payments, and meeting logistics. Supporting Rio Tinto Aluminum Canada Fund funding requests, overseeing application processing and updates. Drafting agreements, conducting due diligence requests. Overseeing budget maintenance and forecasting. Collaborating with stakeholders and service providers to resolve issues, ensuring compliance with commitments and company policies. Driving continuous improvement in office processes to enhance efficiency and alignment with company standards for Communities and Social Performance.

What you'll bring



A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team A positive attitude and adept at building relationships Advanced project and event management abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Clear, concise, and tactful communication skills Detail-oriented with excellent work prioritization skills Experience in independent and team-based work, managing multiple projects with sound judgment and meeting critical deadlines; adept at navigating changing environments. At least a high school diploma or equivalent plus a valid drivers' license (minimum of a Class 7 "Novice")

The base salary range for this role is $75,200 - $112,800 CAD in addition to allowances, bonus, equity, health or retirement benefits, and any other discretionary benefits offered at Rio Tinto. Our base salary ranges are based on role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by the skills, experience, and impact you bring to the role.
