:Position Summary:Under the general direction of the Manager, Benefits, Wellness & Retirement, the Benefits, Wellness & Retirement Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Company's Total Rewards functions which includes support and services relating to, Benefits, Wellness and Retirement programs. The Benefits and Retirement Coordinator will provide guidance and advice to team members and management at all levels across the business, namely Payroll and Human Resources departments, and supports the Benefits, Wellness & Retirement Specialist in the research, auditing, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of Benefits, Wellness & Retirement programs.The Benefits and Retirement Coordinator ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates, and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.This role can be based out of any of our operating sites in Ontario.Key Accountabilities:

  • Regularly reviewing employee enrolments, changes and terminations for all Company Total Rewards programs, including auditing the Benefits, Wellness and Retirement team member biennial and annual enrolment, to ensure compliance with plan design and eligibility periods.
  • Acting as a resource for the Human Resources teams and resolving problems or disputes when sent to the inbox or escalated. Builds strong working relationships with team members and management.
  • Working closely with HR, BI, IT and Payroll teams to ensure that benefits and retirement data and processes are accurate and properly documented, weekly feeds and monthly benefit premium loads are performing correctly, and data is updated to the benefits carrier as intended.
  • Performing daily administrative duties in support of the Benefits, Wellness and Retirement programs, such as processing vendor billings, data entry, coordinating data loads, reports and general office duties as assigned.
  • Developing and delivering comprehensive communication material/training documentation for new and existing Benefits, Wellness and Retirement programs, working directly with external carriers and internal stakeholders as required and ensuring that the communication strategies are tailored for different audiences and business groups.
Education and Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in business administration, human resources, or finance along with 1-3 years related experience.
  • Enrollment in or completion of a human resources destination e.g., Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), an asset
  • Familiarity with an HRIS, with a preference for Oracle experience
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets, draw conclusions, and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and can maintain a high degree of accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications such as Word and PowerPoint
  • Effective verbal, written and presentation skills with the ability to present complex ideas to diverse audiences at all levels within the organization.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a diverse, high performing team.
  • Self-motivated and able to handle multiple priorities, with a focus on continuous process improvement.
  • Quick learner when facing new problems and able to think with a short term and long-term focus.
  • Must be able to maintain highly confidential information.
