WHAT WILL YOU DO?




Onboarding new vendors in the system, while verifying that all documentation is complete, and vendors are set up according to approved terms and tax jurisdictions. Resolve discrepancies in purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and payments, collaborating with various departments to address inquiries and reporting requirements. Enter and process invoices while ensuring that GL account coding, property coding, funding entities are accurately reflected in the accounting system. Responsible for accurate and timely payments of all vendor accounts from purchase orders and incoming invoices. Accurately allocate expenses to multiple accounts and properties per internal policies. Set up weekly payment runs and payments via cheque, EFT/ACH, wires in Canada and the US. Monitor open purchase orders, promptly addressing discrepancies. Manage the Accounts Payable email inbox, responding to queries in a timely manner. Effectively communicate, assist and collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders while taking ownership of issues and ensuring a successful resolution. Adhere to guidelines for vendor insurance, WCB and tax registration requirements. Embrace additional responsibilities as required by business needs, contributing to an agile team environment.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?




Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in Accounts Payable. Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting and Business. Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.). Experience with Yardi Enterprise is considered an asset. Sound knowledge of GST and provincial tax compliance applicable to invoice processing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-starter who can work autonomously but also collaboratively as part of a team, while exhibiting analytical skills. Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and ability to ability to work with large volume of daily transactions and in a fast-paced environment.
