Overview: We are currently seeking a collaborative individual to join our team as a Co-op Student reporting to the Manager, Transmission Policy and Compliance. In this role you will have the opportunity to gain work experience that will complement your academic studies, while making a valuable contribution to the protection of millions of electricity and natural gas consumers.   • Support improvements to workflows and process improvements related to license applications and compliance reviews.
  • Assist in analysis related to electrical reliability and regional electricity planning.
  • Provide other support to policy consultations.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of 2nd or 3rd year of an engineering program, policy, economics or related study and registered in a co-op program at a recognized post-secondary institution
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Curiosity and initiative, with a strong interest in the energy sector
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated coursework related to the energy sector, process optimization and machine learning is an asset
