Working within a multi-task team environment performing and/or assisting in maintenance routines on building equipment and systems deficiencies. These positions demand flexibility and a positive, cooperative work attitude.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assisting with preventative maintenance routines on building equipment and systems
• Cleaning mechanical, electrical and bell riser rooms
• Perform standard inspections and minor repairs
• Respond to Tenant calls regarding lighting and plumbing issues
• Some after hours or shift work may be required
• Heavy lifting may be required
• Work in areas where hearing protection may be required
• Ability to work from ladders
• Miscellaneous painting as required
• Other duties as assigned as tasks may vary depending on the assigned property
• Embody and support Brookfield Properties\xe2\x80\x99 Safety, Health and Environment Policy.
  • Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate hazards to reduce risk to the workplace.
  • Engage in training and continuing education to develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to work safely.
  • Take action to stop work if it cannot be executed safely or if conditions or behaviours are unsafe.
  • Immediately report SH&E incidents, near-misses, unsafe conditions, and/or at-risk behaviours to their supervisor; then diligently work to correct the problem.
  • Promote safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with all Brookfield Properties Safe Work Procedures.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment when required.

QUALIFICATIONS
SERVICE / PERSONAL SKILLS
This position requires a dedicated team player with excellent verbal communication skills and a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service. Must be flexible and self-motivated with a positive attitude towards work. The successful candidate will present a professional image and display a courteous manner.

EXPERIENCE & TECHINCAL SKILLS

• General building operations and prior maintenance experience an asset

EDUCATION/DESIGNATION/LICENSES

• Minimum Grade 12 education
• Enrollment in Building Systems Engineering Technology certification program
