Are you ready to apply your knowledge in the real world? We are hiring a Co-op Risk Mangement Position for the Fall Term (September 2024 - December 2024) within our Enterprise Risk Management Team.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

We\xe2\x80\x99ll treat you as one of our own and your key areas of responsibility will include:
  • You will assist in the functions related to risk and credit reporting which will include production and distribution of various reports to senior management.
  • You will assist in the daily monitoring of the commercial and trading activities to ensure compliance with Board mandated policy limits on risk and tolerance and deal structure.
  • The successful candidate will also assist the credit group in researching and analyzing the creditworthiness of companies.
  • In addition, you will be responsible for creating and/or working on memorandums and presentations for senior management.
  • Responsibilities will also include working with a database of market and credit information, so proficiency in MS Office Suite of software (Excel in particular) is a requirement. Visual Basic experience would be considered an asset but is not required.
By the end of the work-term, the successful candidate should have a good understanding of how credit and market risk is managed throughout the company. In addition, the successful candidate will have an understanding of how enterprise level risks are tracked, managed, and reported. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to expand their MS office (Excel in particular) and Microsoft SharePoint 2016 knowledge.

Working as a valued part of our ERM team, you will bring:
  • You must have strong skills in Accounting, Finance and/or Mathematics with a demonstrated ability to understand financial statements and ratio analysis, as well as financial analysis.
  • The successful candidate must be proficient in the MS Office Suite of software (Excel, Word and PowerPoint in particular).
