Enedym Mechanical Co-op



We are looking for a dynamic, knowledgeable, and skilled co-op to join our team and play a critical role. The candidate will combine computer-based mechanical design and manufacturing process development with hands-on work to bring new designs to life. This role gives exposure to both the design engineering and manufacturing teams.

You will get an opportunity to have a significant impact on the design and manufacturing teams as we develop new products and processes. We expect you to be a dynamic team player who is curious about applying new ideas to solve problems.



Join our team at Enedym as a Mechanical Engineering Co-op and get diverse engineering experience while playing an important role in the company. This role will assist in designing new assemblies, create and maintain engineering documentation, support prototype build and testing activities, and collaborate with our manufacturing team to design processes and assembly stations. Responsibilities

Assist in the design and development of components and assemblies Assist in creating and maintaining engineering documentation, including drawings and specifications Support prototype build and testing activities as an active member of the team Design manufacturing processes for electric motor construction, optimizing for throughput and shop floor flow Provide hands-on assistance in electric vehicle conversions using Enedym's in-house designed and built components Work with technicians and engineers to design assembly stations, optimizing for ergonomics and product throughput Work with the engineering team to define product inspection and quality assurance strategies Help evaluate and implement improvements to existing products and processes Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders Maintain documentation on implementation and process

Requirements:

Ability to use computer-aided design (CAD) software (e.g., SolidWorks) to assist in designing and developing components and assemblies Knowledge of technical drawing standards and GD&T Strong mechanical aptitude, comfortable working in a workshop environment, adhering to safety protocols and best practices Understanding of product inspection methods and quality assurance strategies to ensure product quality Ability to maintain detailed documentation on implementation processes and improvements made Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technicians, engineers, and stakeholders Ability to evaluate and implement improvements to existing products and processes, identifying areas for enhancement
