This is a 16-month Co-op that begins in May 2024. Nutrien\'s Patience Lake Mine is located only 10 minutes outside of the city of Saskatoon.

What you will do:

  • Assist the Engineering department with various duties, including:
  • Collaborate on meaningful projects
  • Provide technical support on various key initiatives
  • Analyze data to support continuous improvement, recovery improvement, and cost reduction
  • Work to optimize process and productivity in collaboration with maintenance, engineering and operations
  • Develop sampling plans, analyze plant data, and present findings and recommendations
What you will bring:
  • Must be currently enrolled and have completed at least 2 years of an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering program (or equivalent) at an accredited post-secondary institution AND returning to full-time studies after the work term.
  • Demonstrated positive safety behaviour and safety leadership
  • Willingness to learn and gain knowledge and experience through training
  • Excellent interpersonal teamwork and communication skills
  • Motivation to set and achieve goals, take initiative, and nurture projects forward
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
  • Alignment with Nutrien\'s purpose and values
  • Preference will be given to candidates with mining or heavy industrial experience
