An exciting co-op opportunity awaits a motivated student at our Saskatoon Corporate Office beginning May 2025 for a 16-month term. This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete. This position is not available for remote work.What you will do:

• Gain experience in both microseismic monitoring and in-mine geophysical techniques
• Contribute to the GeoServices team in providing quality geophysical support to potash mining operations
• Assist with various duties, including:

• Support microseismic event workflow. This will be focused on event review and reports
• Data analysis
• Installation and management of geophysical sensors
• Geophysical data acquisition: mainly Ground Penetrating Radar, but may also include Electromagnetic or Seismic Reflection/Refraction
• Some travel may be required
• Occasionally work in underground mines
• Some longer than normal workdays may be required

What you will bring:

• Must be currently enrolled and completed at least 3 years of an undergraduate Geophysics, Geology, Mine Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Geological Engineering, or other earth sciences degree (or equivalent) program at an accredited post-secondary institution AND returning to full-time studies after the work term
• Willingness to learn and gain knowledge and experience through training
• Excellent interpersonal teamwork and communication skills
• Motivation to set and achieve goals, take initiative, and nurture projects forward
• Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities
• Alignment with Nutrien\'s purpose and values
• Preference will be given to candidates with mining or heavy industrial experience and/or with data analytics experience
