WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

This position is responsible for learning and developing engineering, project management, and leadership skills while actively undertaking and accomplishing assignments assigned to them.



This Co-Op Engineer will stay for a duration of one year.

Essential Functions:

Replace and upgrade obsolete PLCs and PCs to modern, reliable systems. Work on automation projects to improve safety, production efficiency and reduce downtime. Assist in the rollout and utilization of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities. Use AutoCAD for design modification of parts to improve reliability. Work on reliability improvement projects with Mechanics and Electricians. Develop and modify Preventive Maintenance Calendars. Work with suppliers to find solution of frequent maintenance issues. Track Key Performance Indicators and update Reliability Board. Write applicable Maintenance Procedures to promote defect-free maintenance work Maintaining, developing, and entering machine and part data into CMMS Help EHS department to create various procedures Help implement / improve E-Check, AM Calendar and E-Tag system Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management

Must be a registered University Internship student within an Engineering Discipline (Automation / Robotics / Electrical) and in good standings Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Software Strong automation knowledge Must possess strong critical thinking, problem solving, analyzing, and examining skills to find the best solutions to various situations Proven Health and Safety accountabilities Lean manufacturing training and experience Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English
