The Data Quality & Stewardship team at AIMCo is responsible for ensuring consistent, quality data is accessible to the organization in accordance with policies and best practices to enable well informed decision making. Collaborating with cross-functional teams across the Global Technology & Data is critical to managing our data assets to give users trust and insights into their data. This growing team is dedicated to shaping the future of data management, where you will take part in implementing cutting-edge data governance practices.
This is an 8-month, full-time term from May 2025 through December 2025.

Responsibilities:Become familiar with the data governance operations and BAU activities with a focus on supporting data stewardship and data quality management Contribute to implementing data standards and best practices within data processes Support and enhance the enterprise data catalogue Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage and resolve data issues Collaborate with business users to evaluate processes, identify requirements, and deliver data-driven recommendations

Our Ideal CandidatePursuing an undergraduate degree in a quantitative or relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business, Mathematics) Returning to studies in Winter 2026 or completing final work experience terms Intellectually curious with a keen interest in investment management and the financial markets Understanding data management principles is an asset Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) Knowledge of Database Technologies (MS SQL Server, Databricks) Knowledge of Agile project management methodology is an asset Brings a mix of analytical skills, business acumen, and a strong desire to support our stakeholders Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify data-related issues and propose effective solutions Effective communication skills, with the ability to facilitate working group sessions Demonstrates a strong commitment to AIMCo's core values of excellence, transparency, humility, integrity and collaboration, and inspires the same in others

Success Measures
Your success in the role will be in your ability to complete all tasks and support various projects assigned. You will become familiar with the Data Governance functions and technologies that enable the delivery of quality data to the organization. Collaborate with multiple groups across the organization and build meaningful relationships with experienced professionals across AIMCo.
