Wildling is a new wine bar and restaurant in downtown Kelowna that celebrates the small winemakers and farmers in BC and beyond, who are working in harmony with the Earth to create wine and food that is beautiful, honest and delicious. We are looking for skilled and passionate cooks with a love for simple, meaningful food to join our culinary team.
At Wildling, we're building a workplace rooted in connection, revelry, and excellence. Humble food, wines of the Earth is a commitment to simplicity and respect for nature where ingredients and the land they are harvested from are celebrated.
The Wildling kitchen will consist of a small and nimble team that will require each team member to wear many hats. It will be advantageous for applicants to demonstrate a range of experiences and a strong willingness to apply themselves in a variety of kitchen operations. Experience in bread making or pastry is an asset.
Requirements
Minimum 3+ years of experience in a professional restaurant/kitchen
Speed and drive
Passionate for the culinary arts and creating unique, elevated, and authentic food
Self-motivated, reliable and hard-working with the ability to multitask and a strong attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a positive and respectful attitude
Proficient in food preparation techniques, knowledge of food safety principles, and the ability to meet quality and cleanliness standards
Valid FOODSAFE certificate required
