Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience for our guests. This position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to food safety standards.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items. Follow recipes and instructions from the head chef to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items. Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure safe handling and preparation of all food products. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service during peak hours. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen manager. Support other kitchen staff as needed, including cooking, serving, and cleaning tasks.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods is essential. Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in food handling. Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other kitchen staff. A passion for the food industry and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
