We are seeking a dedicated Cook/Kitchen Hand to join our small but mighty culinary team at Lakeside Bar & Grill. The ideal candidate must have experience in meal preparation, a strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations, and a valid/current Food Safety Certification.
As a Cook/Kitchen Hand, you will play a key role in preparing high-quality and well-presented meals while maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen. You'll also be expected to work collaboratively with our Front of House team to ensure smooth service and a great experience for our guests.
Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards via Spec Sheets.
Take into consideration dietary restrictions and seasonal ingredients.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and health standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food storage practices.
Collaborate with fellow BoH/FoH staff to ensure timely service but also be efficient when working independently (sometimes during Peak Hours).
Monitor inventory levels and assist Kitchen Manager with tracking supplies as needed.
Skills
Proficient in meal preparation techniques and food handling practices.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations within the food service industry.
Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Excellent time management skills to ensure timely meal delivery.
Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
Previous experience as a line cook/in a restaurant setting is required.
Valid/current Food Safety Certification is required.
