The Cook/Catering Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality food, ensuring consistency, flavor, and presentation meet company standards. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items for catering orders according to recipes, portion, and presentation standards.
Assist in planning and organizing food production to meet event timelines and client expectations.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the kitchen and work areas.
Ensure proper food handling, storage, and temperature control at all times.
Work closely with the catering team to ensure smooth service and accurate order fulfillment.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and receiving supplies.
Support setup, delivery, and service at off-site events as required.
Adhere to all food safety and health regulations.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen or catering environment.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and event days as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen.
