Cook/Cashier

Cook Responsibilities
Primary Functions:
Prepare and cook all food items according to Church's Chicken standards and recipes, as outlined in the Operating Standards Manual (OSM).
Set up the batter table, mix batter, pan chicken, and maintain food preparation stations.
Ensure fryers are color-balanced, properly filled with shortening, and filtered/cleaned on schedule using required safety gear.
Use call sheets to track product levels and meet operational needs.
Report equipment malfunctions to the Manager in Charge promptly.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness guidelines.
Meet all food quality and holding time standards.
Secondary Functions:
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work environment ("clean-as-you-go").
Restock batter station and cooler as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager in Charge of the Shift.
Cashier Responsibilities
Primary Functions:
Greet guests with a warm, friendly attitude and provide fast, accurate, and efficient service.
Take guest orders, handle payments (cash and digital), and ensure order accuracy.
Follow proper cash handling procedures and maintain the register.
Promote menu items and upsell when appropriate.
Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front counter, dining area, and beverage station.
Secondary Functions:
Assist with packaging food orders and ensuring accuracy and presentation.
Refill supplies such as napkins, condiments, and drink stations as needed.
Support team members with cleaning and restocking during slow periods.
Follow all company procedures related to health, safety, and sanitation.
Qualifications (for Both Roles)
Experience in food service, cooking, or customer service preferred but not required.
Ability to follow recipes, food safety procedures, and customer service protocols.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn, follow directions, and take initiative.
Food Safety Certification is a plus.
