Role Overview
As a Full-Time Cook at AFV Kitchen, you will play a key role in daily food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations. This position requires

This role comes with a
guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week
, with additional hours based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a wide range of Nigerian dishes according to AFV recipes and standards
Ensure consistency in taste, portion sizes, and presentation
Assist with food prep, batching, and inventory awareness
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety
Follow proper food handling, storage, and temperature control procedures
Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
Support weekend and peak-hour operations as required
Follow kitchen checklists, prep lists, and operational procedures
Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members
of this position
Scheduling across all locations is critical to this role.
The role guarantees a
minimum of 30 hours per week

Required Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience cooking
Nigerian cuisine
(home or professional experience required)
Strong knowledge of Nigerian ingredients, spices, and traditional cooking techniques
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Physical stamina to stand, prep, and cook for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and food quality
Ability to follow instructions, recipes, and systems
Reliable, punctual, and consistent work ethic
Comfortable working as part of a team
Food Handler Certificate (required or willingness to obtain promptly)
