We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Cook at the Walford on the Hill Retirement Home. This role is essential in providing exceptional food service and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and dining areas. Duties

Serve guests efficiently and courteously, ensuring a positive dining experience Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards Assist in food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to maintain food safety compliance Support meal preparation activities, including chopping, assembling, and plating dishes Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas throughout shifts Follow all health and safety regulations related to food industry standards Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods Restock supplies and assist with inventory management as needed

Requirements

Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments preferred Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and meal preparation techniques Strong serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays if required Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene standards
