We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Specialized Cook to join our nursing home team. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing nutritious, appetizing meals tailored to the dietary and medical needs of elderly residents. This role is essential in supporting resident health, comfort, and overall quality of life.

Duties

Serve food and beverages to customers with professionalism and courtesy Assist in food preparation, including meal assembly and plating Cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards Handle food safely, adhering to all health and safety regulations Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times Support the team during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and requests promptly

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation standards Strong serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction Ability to prepare and cook food items accurately and efficiently Familiarity with the food industry, including meal preparation techniques Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification is a plus
