Job Description

Primacare(TM) Living Solutions is a privately-held Canadian Long-Term Care Operator based in Toronto, Ontario and is a fully accredited member of both CARF and the OLTCA. Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of meals according to the posted menu ensuring that all standards are met. Overseeing and assisting with the serving of meals to residents ensuring resident food preferences are respected. Ensure that all dietary functions are performed in a clean, sanitary manner. Assist the Food and Nutrition Manager in control of food costs, waste, and ordering. Assist in the orientation and training of new dietary staff. Inspect for food supplies and determine what quantities of food should be reordered, communicating to the Food and Nutrition Manager. Ensure all MOHLTC and Public Health requirements are met. Contribute to a home environment for residents that ensures the values of Primacare Living Solutions are maintained and upheld.

Qualifications:

Chef/Cook Certification from a recognized community college, preferably Red Seal Experience in a Long-Term Care Home or with seniors preferred Police background clearance for vulnerable persons sector (current, within 6 months, and original documents. Proof of full immunization against COVID-19, in accordance with the Ontario Ministry of Long-Term Care's Long-term care home COVID-19 immunization policy.*
