(Full-time position)




Trinity College School is currently seeking a Cook to join our Culinary Services team. This is a full-time position starting November 17, 2025, averaging 70-80 hours bi-weekly. This position involves a standard rotational schedule of weekday and weekend shifts generally ranging between 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. during the School year with some exceptions, such as special events.


The Culinary Services team provides 1,000-1,500 daily fresh homemade quality meals for TCS boarding/day students as well as faculty and staff. As a boarding/day school, the kitchen and servery operate seven days a week during the school year excluding holidays. During the school year, the School also has many additional catered events that require culinary services. TCS has acquired one of the finest reputations amongst independent schools for the quality of meals and service to students and staff, in which we take the utmost pride.

Position Responsibilities and Specifics



Help to prepare food based on menus that reflect and highlight seasonal local farm ingredients Keep the kitchen and work space clean and sanitary at all times Some heavy lifting required, plus the ability to be working/standing for extended periods of time Must be able to multi-task and cook several dishes at one time Work well as part of a team and independently Ability to work in any position in the kitchen, as needed Comfort using mixers/attachments, meat slicer, ovens, grill, steamers, fryers and other large industrial equipment Strong knife skills are a must Strong organizational skills and to communicate directions with others Ability to think quickly and problem solve in the moment Good customer service skills are a must; our students' dining experience is our number one priority Demonstrated

Qualifications



Minimum two years of culinary experience Food Handler and Sanitation Certificate required Mandatory police vulnerable sector check Any of the following would be considered an asset: certified provincial Trade Cook papers, culinary college courses completed
