Position Overview
We are seeking a
professional and passionate Line Cook
to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to ensure each dish reflects the high standards of our kitchen. This role is essential to maintaining consistency, quality, and authenticity in every plate that leaves our kitchen.
Responsibilities and Duties
Set up and stock stations with all necessary ingredients and supplies.
Prepare components for service, including chopping vegetables, butchering meats, and preparing sauces.
Cook and plate dishes in accordance with restaurant recipes and chef's direction.
Work collaboratively with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
Follow instructions from the Executive and Sous Chef with precision.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation during and after service.
Properly store and label leftover food and maintain inventory levels.
Ensure that all food meets restaurant quality standards and is served in a timely manner.
Comply with all food safety, sanitation, and occupational health regulations.
Uphold a positive, respectful, and professional attitude with colleagues and guests.
Requirements and Qualifications
Proven experience as a
Line Cook
or
Restaurant Cook
in a professional kitchen.
Strong knowledge of
Italian cuisine
, particularly regional and traditional dishes.
Excellent understanding of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and food preparation techniques.
Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
High attention to detail, organization, and time management.
Culinary school diploma or equivalent professional training preferred.
Team-oriented mindset and a genuine passion for hospitality and Italian food culture.
