Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and best practices. Assist in the planning of menus, considering seasonal availability of ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, specials, and operational improvements.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety standards is essential. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. A passion for cooking and creativity in the kitchen is highly valued.
