Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook authentic Kerala-style dishes, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian items. Follow traditional recipes and cooking methods to maintain consistency and authenticity. Assist in planning menus featuring Kerala and South Indian specialties. Ensure proper handling, storage, and preparation of ingredients, particularly regional spices and fresh produce. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and food preparation areas. Serve food with a friendly, professional demeanor and assist with customer inquiries when required. Monitor kitchen inventory and notify management of shortages or necessary restocking of essential South Indian ingredients. Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations, especially during peak service hours. Adhere strictly to food safety regulations and kitchen protocols.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a cook or chef specializing in

South Indian, particularly Kerala-style cuisine

. Strong knowledge of regional ingredients, traditional cooking methods, and food safety practices. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
