Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced cook to join our daycare. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role requires a passion for food service, excellent customer interaction skills, and a strong understanding of food safety standards. The cook will play a vital role in ensuring our children receive exceptional food experiences through efficient meal preparation and attentive service. We would prefer if the cook has Level 1 child care educator certificate.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards Serve food to children in a timely and professional manner Assist with food handling, ensuring proper hygiene and safety protocols are followed Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, mixing, and assembling dishes Support the team during busy hours by efficiently managing multiple orders Follow all food safety regulations to ensure the health and safety of guests and staff Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Skills

Proven experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly Familiarity with food handling procedures and safety standards Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude Knowledge of the food industry trends and best practices for food safety and quality assurance
