Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled culinary professional to join our team as an Evening Cook. This role is essential in delivering high-quality food service and ensuring that all meals meet our standards for taste, presentation, and safety. The ideal candidate will have experience in the dietary department, small and large banquets and hotel setting preferred, a passion for cooking, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu plans. Assist in menu planning that caters to dietary restrictions and preferences. Ensure all food is handled safely and meets health regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Participate in catering events as needed, providing excellent food service to guests. Utilize knife skills effectively for meal preparation and presentation. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as necessary. Provide support in training new kitchen staff on food handling and preparation techniques.

Requirements

Proven experience in the food industry, preferably within a dietary or fine dining setting. Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation, cooking, and serving. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling. Experience with menu planning and catering is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests. Previous experience as a dietary aide or in a restaurant setting is highly desirable. A passion for culinary arts and commitment to providing exceptional dining experiences.
