Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team in the role of Cook. This position is essential in ensuring that our food service operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, with experience in food preparation, cooking, and serving. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals to our customers while adhering to food safety standards.

Duties



Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards. Serve food to customers in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring an excellent dining experience. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, following all health and safety regulations. Handle food items safely, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation to minimize waste. Assist with meal preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs for reordering. Perform other relevant duties as may be required from time to time.

Skills



Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and handling procedures. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and customers. Basic cooking skills with a willingness to learn new techniques and recipes. A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential for success in this role. Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends, overnights or holidays if required. Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Education:

Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:

Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

Food Handler Certification (preferred)
